If you’re DJing at a club with a screen, give it a try!

If you DJ at clubs with a screen or projector, I definitely recommend you try it out.
Thinking about what’s on the screen at the same time as the music gives you a new DJing experience. It would also work great for DJs who back live artists, and for rappers and singers, to use the Lyric function when performing live.

I was happy to see the audience singing and dancing while I was playing

I started using the Lyric function to convey the atmosphere of the song to the audience by changing the color and the motion style of the lyrics. I find this function really appealing and engaging.
When I was playing a recent gig, I showed the lyrics on a large screen and the audience sung and danced along with the song I was playing. It was such a moving, touching moment, and most of all, it felt great while DJing!

Perfect when DJing at sports events or weddings

I would highly recommend the Lyric function for those who DJ at sport events or weddings, or if you’re passionate about conveying the message of the song rather than just playing music.

Rather than displaying lyrics throughout a gig, I use the Lyric function at specific times when I want to focus the audience’s attention.

Besides clubs where people move around freely, I often DJ on live performance stages. When I’m playing, the audience is looking straight at me, so I need to attract them and engage by hyping them up with my mic performance and physical gestures. The Lyric function is one of the best ways to spice things up – by showing lyrics which are constantly changing, the audience has something fresh to look at and enjoy. Especially with a big screen at a large venue, the audience response is great!

A potential new DJ style for you that combines both sound and visuals

Sharing lyrics with music creates a powerful combination.
I think it’s really helpful to keep the audience engaged, even during a long gig, by showing the combination of the DJ’s movements and lyrics together with videos from the VJ or live camera.

The Lyric function isn’t just for DJs who want to convey the words of songs. It’s also recommended for those who want to enhance their overall stage performances.
When I was playing at the event “#SCRAMBLE x Sony” in Tokyo in 2018, I created excitement among the audience thanks to the Lyric function by showing the words of the songs at just the right times. I feel it works especially well with songs with a short hook as well as tracks everyone knows the words to.

Sales Prices

Payment Methods
Payment shall be made by a credit card or through the PayPal system. Customers will be charged based on a cut-off date designated by a credit-card company or a clearing company. Payment will be completed by the transaction system of our agency, Digital River Inc.

 

Method of Product Delivery
After completing payment, the Application which you bought will be activated. Delivery is completed when the completing payment.

 

Returning Products and Refunds
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, due to the nature of the products,
all sales are final and returns are not accepted. For more details, refer to the General Terms and Conditions listed on the purchase screen.”

 

Subscription Agreements

1. Subscription agreement allows customers to use contents of the software, for one month (“Expiration date of the first agreement”) from the day on which the purchase has been completed by the customers who have a good understanding of the contents written on this site.

2. Subscription agreement will be automatically renewed for another period of one month (“Expiration date of automatically renewed agreements”), unless particular cancellation in writing is made by customers. In the case of AlphaTheta confirming the cancellation during the subscription terms, the agreement will end at the expiration date of such terms.

3. In the case referred to in the preceding paragraph, even when cancellation of the agreements has been completed, all customer’s liabilities during the subscription terms will not be extinguished until such obligations have been fulfilled. Customers acknowledge that any paid fee for the subscription will not be refunded.

Procedures for Settling Disputes
The following legal conditions shall be applied to disputes stemmed from purchase of the products.
(1) All disputes shall be governed by the Japanese Law.
(2) All disputes arising between AlphaTheta Corporation and customers shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court.

 

Which laws apply to this contract and where you may bring legal proceedings:

If you are a non-EEA or UK consumer these terms shall be governed by Japanese law and all disputes shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court.

If you are an EEA or UK consumer the laws and courts of your country of residence will apply to any disputes arising out of or relating to these terms or the services.
