What do you need help with?

• What can I do if I log in to DJ equipment?

  By logging in to DJ equipment, the following useful functions will become available:

  • rekordbox CloudDirectPlay (directly plays back Song Files saved to the cloud storage)
  • StreamingDirectPlay (directly plays back streaming tracks)
  • Automatic login to TIDAL
  • Automatic login to Apple Music
  • Cloud Analysis (high speed track analysis)

• Is there a relationship between log in to DJ equipment and rekordbox for iOS/Android?

  Some DJ equipment support login through rekordbox for iOS/Android installed on smartphones and tablets.

• How do you log in to DJ equipment using a QR code?

  Prepare and perform login operations by following the steps below.

  What to prepare

  1. Check that the mobile device is equipped with a camera
  2. Check that an app (camera app or QR reader) that can scan QR codes is available
  3. Check that your DJ equipment supports QR code login

  Login

  1. Display the QR code on the DJ equipment source screen
     *Refer to the DJ equipment instruction manual for the display method.
  2. Scan the QR code using a mobile device
  3. Access the displayed URL and log in using an AlphaTheta account

• How do I log in by holding my mobile device over the DJ equipment?

  Prepare and perform login operations by following the steps below.

  What to prepare

  1. Check that the smartphones and tablets are NFC compatible
  2. Check that your DJ equipment support NFC login
     See here for details.
  3. Install rekordbox for iOS/Android
  4. Log in to your AlphaTheta account
  5. Set Cloud Library Sync to ON
  6. Log in to cloud storage
     *To use Google Drive, in addition to the above, you must log in to Google Drive with rekordbox for Mac/Windows.
  7. Set rekordbox CloudDirectPlay to ON
  8. To use tracks on rekordbox CloudDirectPlay, upload tracks to the cloud storage using rekordbox for iOS/Android.
     *If you only want to use tracks from the streaming service, this task is not required.

  Login

  1. Check that the NFC login indicator of your DJ equipment is illuminated (illuminated or flashing)
  2. Log in simply by holding your mobile device over the NFC login touch area of your DJ equipment.

• Which DJ equipment can be used for login?

  Refer to the following diagram for DJ equipment that support login.
  *Please note that the login method varies by equipment.

  Login methods include the following 3 methods.

  (A)Login using USB storage

  1. Install rekordbox for Mac/Windows on a PC/Mac
  2. Authenticate USB storage devices using rekordbox
  3. Automatically logs in by connecting authenticated USB storage devices to DJ equipment
     *SD cards can be used on some DJ equipment.
     Refer to the "rekordbox CloudDirectPlay Operation Guide" on the Manual page for how to log in.

  (B)Login by scanning QR codes

  1. Scan QR codes displayed on the DJ equipment using smartphones and tablets
  2. You can log in successfully through this simple step

  (C)Log in by holding the mobile device over the NFC login touch area (only NFC compatible models)

  1. Prepare a mobile device with rekordbox for iOS/Android installed
  2. You can log in simply by holding your mobile device over the NFC login touch area of compatible DJ equipment
