And best of all, every feature in Lite mode is completely free – just install the app on your smartphone or tablet, and you're ready to start DJing from day one.

rekordbox, including the new Lite mode, also supports popular music streaming services such as Apple Music, Beatport Streaming, TIDAL, and SoundCloud Go+/DJ, enabling you to instantly mix tracks from your favorite playlists. Even without music files stored on your device, you can enjoy the excitement of DJing whenever inspiration strikes.

Lite mode’s screen is designed to look like turntables, with color and animation effects that react to the beat of the music. The jog wheel and background dynamically reflect the album artwork’s color palette in a vibrant, neon aesthetic, making the visual experience as engaging as the audio. It's easy to use and friendly for first-time DJs.

Unlike the 2-deck mode, where 2 tracks are lined up for mixing, Single mode displays one track’s record artwork prominently across the screen. It supports vertical device orientation, so it’s easy to use on the go or during short breaks. This is ideal when you want to focus on a single song and explore its mood and atmosphere by interacting directly with the player screen.

Easy one-tap switch for Lite mode

Once you're familiar with the basics in Lite mode, simply tap the rekordbox button to access more features. You can switch modes this way anytime, making it easy to progress at your own pace.
